Chanukka!

Jakey Shia had his first Chanukka which he totally loved! He especially liked looking at the candles shinning so brightly. Lea had such an amazing understanding of what the holiday represents and most of all loved learning and singing all the songs and brachot! Enjoy these pics and videos from the last 2 weeks!

Welcome Andrew Max!!!

Sorry we are bit delayed in posting,but some very exciting things have happened. Lea Yael and Jakey Shia became big cousins on Nov. 25, 2009 to cutie pie Andrew Max. Our family was super excited to go visit him and take part in his bris! He was such a trooper and is super brave. Lea Yael and Jakey Shia did amazing on the plane rides. Jake slept and Lea loudly reminded everyone to keep their seat-belts on until the sign went off. We can't wait to play with Andy Max agian very soon when he moves to Skokie :).

L.Y. is 2.5 Years; J.S. is 4 Months Old!

Well, we haven't posted in a while- because between working, getting no sleep, running errands, not sleeping, making lunches for school, diapering, feeding Jakey all night we just dont have time to upload pictures and videos as often as we used to. Lea Yael is now 2 and a half years old. She started preschool in September at the Skokie JCC (which is where her mommy went for preschool) and absolutely loves it! She comes home with new songs everyday- some of her fav. songs are "Little Torah", "Dovid Melach Yisroel" and of course the "ABC Song". She makes lots of art projects and loves all of her friends. She is able to write her own name using magnets and she is the best big sister ever! Jakey Shia is 4 months old and is just the friendliest baby ever. Last week was a bit hard as Jakey came down with Croup which developed into Strider (sp?) and we ended up in the ER and then had to spend the night in the hospital. He was such a trooper, and even when nurses were poking him with needles and I.V.'s he smiled the whole time to everyone! Thank G-d he was better the next day! Jakey started Solids last week, and being the big boy he is, he loves it! We are pretty sure he could finish off a steak in no time. He is still not sleeping completely through the night, but we can't complain since he is super cute to look at. Jakey is also very close to rolling over! Enjoy these videos and pictures!

Summer is flying by. Jakey Shia is already 6 weeks old and getting more and more handsom by the day! He is much more aware and awake and loves to give us big smiles. He also loves to eat....all the time! Such a boy!

Lea Yael is almost 2 and a half. She is finished with camp and very excited to start preschool with her friends! She loves to sing, all the time. Here is a video of a bit of her bedtime routine and some of the kiddos together.

Welcome to the World Jacob Shia!

Well, he wasnt due for another month- but Jacob Shia just couldn't wait to meet his family and graced us with his beautiful self on June 25th, 2009 at 11:37pm weighing in at 5 pounds 7 ounces. He is almost a month old now, and with so much thanks to G-d he is doing great (Bli Iyon Hora)! Lea Yael and Jacob Shia are best friends! Lea loves to help out with her baby brother, kiss him, try to feed him, sing to him, bath him and whatever else she can do to him when her mommy and daddy aren't looking.
